Joseph had three children with his first wife, Rebecca, Alice M. born Jan 6, 1887, Florence born Apr 18, 1884 and Eva born May 14, 1882, all three were born in Sault St. Marie, Michigan and a son Joseph by his second wife, Mary, Joseph jr. was born Apr 22, 1910. In 1918, His daughter Alice was living in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, his daughter Florence was living in Washington D. C. , his daughter Eva was living in Chicago, Illinois, and his son joseph was living with him. Joseph became an engineer, in 1918 he went to Tientsin, China to do survey work for the Grand Canal. His second wife, Mary Roper, was born Feb 14, 1876 in Edgefield, SC. His daughter Florence married Apr 20, 1909 in Chippewa County, Michigan to Roy Alison Hill.
