After her death, her husband Smith Cole, moved to the house of Volney Cole in White Lake Township, Oakland County, Michigan. Smith remarried Feb 22, 1866 in Oakland Co., MI to Diantha Olmsted. By 1870 Smith is living back in Waterford Township, Oakland County with his second wife Diantha. His wife Diantha died before 1873, when Smith marries again, Aug 21, 1873 in Genesee Co., MI to Sarah A. McCann. The 1880 census shows him living in Fentonville, Genesee County Michigan. Smith Cole died Jul 9, 1896 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at the age of 62 years of Paralysis. According to his death record, he is the son of Abraham and Germanice Cole.
