Obit: Esther M. Hinkley, 77; Funeral services for Esther M. Hinkley, 77, of Riviera Beach, Fla. were held Sunday, Nov 6, at the Stone Funeral Home, Leroy Sulfin officated  and graveside services were at 10 a. m. today at Greenwood Cemetery.  Mrs Hinkley died Nov 4, 1983 at Lakeside heath Care Center, Riviera Beach, Fla. The former Esther M. Vielkiend was born Nov 30, 1905, in Indiana, the daughter of Rudolph and Jennie Vielkiend. She moved to Grand Rapids with her family at a young age and attended school there. In 1943 she moved to Petoskey and in 1949 was married to Arthur Hinkley,  former owner of the Petoskey Evening News. The couple made their home in Petoskey until 1954 when they moved to Detroit. Her husband preceded her in death Oct 30, 1965.  Mrs Hinkley had made her home in Florida since 1970.  She is survived by two sons, Francis Fitzpatrick of Detroit and William Fitzpatrick of Berkley.  She is also survived by thre grandchildren.
