Obit; Oakland Press Nov 28, 1979; Florence B. hickmott, 90, of 26 Mechanic St. died Nov 28, 1979. Mrs Hickmott was the widow of Ralph Hickmott. She is survived by her daughter Mrs,. Alice Mae Everitt, and her sons Donald and R. J. (Ralph J.) all of Oxford. She is also survived by her sisters Mrs May Terry and Mrs Helen Smith of Oxford. Mrs Hickmott is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs Hickmott was born Florence Laidlaw. She was raised in Oxford, attened the North Oxford High School and spent her entire life in this area. She was a housewife and a member of the Oxford Free Methodist Church. She was a member of the G. B. Club, the Addison Farmers Club and the WMFI of the Oxford Free Methodist Church. Mrs Hickmott will lie in state Thursday, Nov 29, after 7pm at the Bassardet Funeral home. The funeral will be held at 1pm, Dec 1, at the same place. The interment will be at the north Oxford Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Sawyer officiating.
