The family is not sure if his father Daniel died in New York or in Oxford Twp., Oakland County, Michigan, one story is that Daniel came to Michigan, purchased land in Oxford twp., oakland County, Michigan, returned to New York, and shortly afterwards died and was buried there, the other story is that he return to New York, moved his family back to Oxford Twp., and died shortly after returning to Michigan. There is an unmarked grave next to Abigail in North Oxford Cemetery, it may be Daniel, the old cemetery records were lost.
