Harvey D. Phelps, aged 60 years, while suffering under severe distress and aberration of mind, came to his death by hanging last Thursday morning. He was a good citizen, a kind and obliging neighbor, and an industrious, honest man, respected and beloved by all. He was an affectionate and careful father and a true and loving husband. He leaves a widow and three married daughters to mourn his loss. This sad event casts a gloom over this town and village of Ortonville and vicinity. He was an F. A. M.
