John L. Smith - Holly

John L. Smith, who lives three miles east of Holly, met with quite a serious accident the other morning. He had taken his team and gone into the woods alone, for a load of wood. In some manner the wagon reach broke, letting down the front end of the wagon, throwing Mr. Smith under the horses feet, nearly cutting off one ear and badly bruising and cutting him on the head and face.
