Burglars Fail to Open School Safe
Sometime Sunday night the Clarkston High School was broken into and an attempt made to force the safe Although the culprits caused some damage and seemed to know where the money might be kept, they must have been pretty disappointed with the fruits of their night's work. Mr. Brablee's and Mr. Rigley's offices were entered as was Miss Tolman's room. Admittance was gained by smashing out the glass panes and opening the doors from the inside. Not content with drilling a hole in the big safe the burglars also knocked a big hole in the wall probably looking for money in the vault. Although they went to a great deal of work, only about eight dollars was taken. This from a change drawer in the book store. The money loss as well as the property damage is completely covered by insurance.
