Clarkston Baker Injured in Crash
When returning from Detroit Sunday evening, O. A. GOrdon, baker, at the Clarkston Bakery, was seriously injured in a head on collision at Twelve Mile Rd. The traffic was very heavy and the car directly opposite him in the south bound lane slowed up, and the car following, driven by a Mr. Ball, of Highland Park, cut out in the north bound lane without the least chance of passage, and collided with his car. Mr. Gordon was partly thrown through the windshield, severing an artery, knocking out several teeth and receiving numerous cuts and bruises and a fractured rib. He was accompanied by his three small children, all of whom suffered from cuts and bruises. One of the Bakery truck drivers, who was with him, escaped without serious injury. Mr. Gordon was able to be back on the job Wednesday, but considerably weakened from loss of blood and shock.
